Your Bankable score is calculated entirely from your real transaction history. No forms. No surveys. No guesswork.
Every number comes from transactions that already happened in your account. You connect once, and we do the analysis.
Your score is built from five specific behaviours that Nigerian lenders look for when reviewing a bank statement, now measured automatically from your real data.
How consistently money arrives in your account each month.
What percentage of your income you set aside, including transfers to PiggyVest, Cowrywise and similar.
How consistent your monthly expenses are from month to month.
Whether loan repayments appear and how much of your income they consume.
Whether you keep a cushion in your account between paydays.
Each signal is scored out of 20. Five of them add up to your total out of 100. The Bankable line is at 70.
Your score falls into one of four bands. The goal is 70: the point where your financial profile is strong enough to be called Bankable. Your dashboard shows exactly how far you are and what will get you there.
The five signals were not invented in isolation. They were shaped by conversations with credit professionals at Nigerian financial institutions: people who review bank statements every day to decide who gets a loan.
No. We connect through a read-only Open Banking link. We cannot initiate payments, transfer money, or make any changes to your account. The connection lets us read your transaction history. Nothing else.
Your score updates every time you rescore, and your financial behaviour changes week by week. A salary arriving, a loan repaid, a month of consistent saving: all of it moves your score. Many users check in weekly to track the effect of specific changes they are making. Think of it like a fitness score. The value is in watching it move over time, not reading it once and forgetting it.
Transfers to savings platforms like PiggyVest and Cowrywise are recognised as saving activity and counted positively in your Savings Rate signal. They are not treated as spending. If you save externally, your score reflects that discipline.
Yes. Betting transactions are detected and surfaced as a flag on your profile. This is one of the first things lenders look for when reviewing a bank statement. We surface it clearly so there are no surprises. Reducing or stopping betting activity has a direct positive impact on your score.
No. Your Bankable score shows where you stand against the signals lenders care about most. A high score puts you in a strong position. But each lender makes their own final decision. What the score does is show you clearly what to improve, so when you apply, your profile speaks for itself.
Only you, until you choose to share it. You generate a share link from your dashboard and send it to a lender yourself. You can revoke that link at any time. Bankable never sends your score to anyone without your action.
Be among the first to connect your bank and see your score before we open to everyone.
